Assembly Technician

RF Assembly Technician
Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic assemblies, subassemblies, RF modules, and systems using standard measuring tools and techniques.
- Perform wire termination and install wire harnesses, cable assemblies, relays, transformers, heatsinks, fans, amplifier covers, and other components.
- Solder components under a microscope, following IPC-A-610 (class 3) standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections and rework units as needed.
- Create and communicate corrective actions for PCB assembly errors.
- Measure sizes and dimensions using calipers, interpret bar graphs, and understand assembly drawings.
- Use hand tools such as torque wrenches, cutters, pliers, screwdrivers, and soldering irons.
- Work with printed circuit boards containing surface mount components as small as 0402, ensuring correct orientation of electronic components.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED; technical school or certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electronic assembly.
- Experience with crimping, cable, harnessing, and chassis wiring.
- Understanding of IPC-A-610 or similar soldering and electronics assembly standards; certification a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or relevant ASQ certification is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
