Sr. RF Test Technician
Full Time • Denville
We are seeking an experienced RF Test Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the design, development, testing, and production of advanced RF and wireless communication systems. You will work with both active and passive RF components, performing hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure top-quality products for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate RF test equipment, including spectrum/network analyzers, power meters, and automated test systems (ATS).
- Perform PCB-level testing, debugging, and component replacements (including FBGA/BGA).
- Test and optimize RF modules such as amplifiers, filters, and DAS-related systems (bi-directional amplifiers, tower-mounted amplifiers).
- Build, configure, and maintain test fixtures and racks; ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
- Conduct system-level final tests to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Diagnose and repair finished products by identifying and replacing faulty components.
- Document results, generate test reports, and log defects; collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements.
- Follow IPC standards (IPC-610 preferred; IPC-7711/7721 a plus).
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in electronics or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in RF/electronics manufacturing and testing.
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital electronics and PCB-level troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using RF test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, noise figure meters, power meters).
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensación: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
